Summary: How Dr.Riddles felt about life before he met Kiddo.

	The Mind Of The Brilliant

I sat in my colossal armchair pondering at the wall. I was surrounded by my hundreds and hundreds of books all inventoried in numerous towering oak bookshelves. I felt like they were my only companions. My only way out of my inflaming suffering filled with broken dreams and regret. All this suffering and pain because I could not save him. I have lost my patient, my friend, my only grandson! I remember that day much to well. I was staring down at an operating table with my grandson's decapitated expired body lying on top of it.

When I heard the long beep of the monitor my old heart perished right along with my grandson. I quickly secluded myself from the outside world to live my life in solitude. A long lonely solitude coded with sad memories of my greatest failure. Sit and ponder was all I did. The only thing I wished to do. My chair was swallowed in an ocean of books written by the greatest novelist's, philosophers and intellectuals of all time.

But one day I had a visitor. A boy journeyed into my library right out of the blue. I felt like I was staring directly at a ghost. When I looked at this strange adolescent boy the memory of my grandson made its way into my thoughts. The boy carried a book with a strange symbol on the hard thick cover. He explained he was told I might be the one who could decipher the strange book he carried. I grabbed the book from his small pale hands and flipped through its pages. I have never seen a form of writing or even languages like the one I read in that book. I then came to a word I could sound out. The book suddenly started shining a bright blue light. The book fell to the floor with a loud thump as I dropped it in surprise. The boy's face lit up with happiness even more than the book. He explained to me about the mamoddo battle for king. I looked at the boy who introduced himself to me as Kiddo. I made up my mind and accepted the Kiddos offer. An unforgettable journey was up ahead. I was the only one who could do it. Well I am **brilliant** Dr. Riddles after all aren't I?
